Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director to provide, plan, coordinate and manage the office
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including HIPAA
- Welcome patient and conduct patient assessments
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Protect patient by adhering to infection-control policy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical procedures, including medication administration and patient assessment
- Demonstrates willingness to try new tasks; selects effective team members; challenges others to learn
- Proficiency in medical record keeping and documentation while supporting security and confidentiality issues
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
